Located near the downtown area, Freedom Park features 98 acres of scenic parkland, a lake, paved walking trails, a playground, volleyball and tennis courts and athletic fields as well as an outdoor theater and a nature center for children. Popular attractions at the park include a historic locomotive steam engine and the geese that flock around the lake year round. In addition to offering free music concerts in the summer, Freedom Park also hosts the annual five-day summer event, Festival in the Park.
